The Beginning

Hi everyone and welcome to my blog! I am currently in my final semester at FIT, graudating this May with a Bachlelor's in Fashion Merchandising Management specializing in product development. However, I would really love to have a future career in bridal. I have been mesmerized by the bridal industry ever since I was a little girl. Watching all the shows, aweing over gorgeous gowns, delicate florals and detailed cakes and I had an idea that this was possibly where I wanted to belong. I recently began my internship with Wedding Salon as a communications intern, where I will work with a team of 8 employees and a few additional interns to create tradeshows for brides to attend. At our shows, brides-to-be are able to circulate a magnificent room acquainting themselves with different vendors from everything you can imagine including: gowns, invitations, music, catering, desserts, beverages, accessories, makeup, limousines, flowers and much, much more! I am so excited to have the opportunity to work with them to further my bridal experience and knowledge!

Aside from my love for bridal, I would like to tell you more about myself. In addition to interning and school, I also work at Victoria's Secret as a sales associate and though I really value my experience here in the city, I would really love to venture back Upstate for a while after graduation. My dream is to be a successful wedding and events planner at a beautiful winery. I really enjoy spending time with my friends, family and my boyfriend as well as my pets! I love going on wine tours through the Fingerlakes, shopping, taking a walk outside, cooking, traveling, exercising, relaxing, laughing and having fun! Join me on my journey through my last few months of school, my internship and through my everyday life. I can't wait to post about my involvement with Wedding Salon in addition to different bridal hot topics and trends!
